Feuer im Sinjar

Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad on Tuesday expressed her concerns about the recent wildfires in Iraq’s Nineveh and how the flames may destroy mass graves where evidence of the so-called Islamic State’s genocide against the Yezidi (Ezidi) minority is being gathered.

According to Murad, the fired across farmlands in Iraq, especially in Nineveh governorate, have burned some of the 79 mass graves that contain the remains of Ezidis who suffered genocide at the hands of the terror group in Sinjar (Shingal).

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has inaugurated a building at Jericho’s Istiqlal University in honor of a notorious Palestinian terrorist, Khalil Al-Wazir Abu Jihad.

Abu Jihad is one of the most celebrated Palestinian terrorists in history. He was second in command to Yasser Arafat and the founder of Fatah and the PLO.  Abu Jihad is responsible for organizing attacks that killed 125 Israelis between 1960 and 1980 and was the architect behind the Munich Olympic Games massacre.

Hungersnot droht in Somalia

"In Somalia leiden die Menschen nicht nur aufgrund bewaffneter Konflikte; Dürren belasten die Menschen zusätzlich und verschärfen die Lage vor Ort", sagte der Geschäftsführer der UN-Flüchtlingshilfe, Peter Ruhenstroth-Bauer. In Somalia habe es aufgrund klimatischer Veränderungen "deutlich weniger Niederschläge während der Regenzeiten" gegeben.
